Hello Mr. Sun...

It has been nice to see the sun the past 3 days. Of course the first day of the sun, we spent it locked up at Children's hospital for M&M. But before we left for the hospital, we were able to get a walk in with M&M to soak up some vitamin D. We walked over to Trader Joes for some odd and ends to get us through the next couple of days of being cooped up. Oddly enough as we were leaving TJ's parking lot, a car stopped and the man inside offered us a ride. It was a nice car, a newer Audi and the man was well  dressed. TFOLT politely declined the offer (You know the offer to get into some strangers car with your 5 year old. I am pretty sure I seen that horror movie before when I was about 15. I was screaming at the theater screen, DO NOT GET IN THE CAR YOU KNOW HE IS JUST GOING TO KILL YOU!!!  I was thinking to myself all though the movie,  how stupid do the writers think we are to believe a person will randomly accept a ride from a stranger). The next block over we bumped into one of my Sunday School kid's Grandma (why yes Catholic kids have Sunday school. It is religious education which is offered on Sunday aka Sunday school. I like to date myself and  refer to religious ed as CCD). TFOLT and I speculated with the Grandma what the man in the Audi's intentions actually were. Funny, the world we live in now a days where a good Samaritan's gesture is regarded suspiciously.  After my first guess of murder, my second guess was he was a car salesman. Of course I found it amusing that it is so unusual for people to be seen walking to the store instead of driving. TFOLT and I  were speaking only a few minutes before that when  I had announced I wanted one of those carts to put groceries in when we were out walking. He replied, "so you can be those kinds of people"? I had no idea what "those kinds of people" were so I said, "what kind? The kind that is saving all kinds of moola in gas by walking"? TFOLT exclaimed, "I never thought of it that way, but I like the savings of the money, so yep we will be those kinds of people". So apparently I have been given the green light to buy a "little old lady" cart. Hmm I wonder if that makes me a little old lady?
