My heart always pounds when you see the headlines;

Boeing plans to layoff machinists

Boeing says total number of positions cut this year will be between 2,000 and 2,300.

Everything goes rushing through my head, how are we going to pay for the kids medicine? How are we going to pay for the hospital visits, the doctor bills. The numbers are not small, they are enormous, easily they can run $20,000 a month, any given month, a normal month medication alone is at least $18,000. I pace the floor like a caged animal, finally sending my pleas up to Heaven, Dear Lord what will we do? I take a deep breath and remember what GOD has given us: I have a wonderfully, gifted and talented husband who has taken means to protect his job at Boeing. It will take many more thousands multiplied by 10s for any lay off to effect him. If a layoff were to happen, I know TFOLT has jobs lined up. They might not be ideal, they might not be in this state but it is a job with health benefits. We will be alright but there are families out their that will not be so lucky. My heart breaks for them for what they are going through.
