Yep, I am judgmental

I often reside in a pretend land where I claim not to judge people, but if I am going to be honest, I judge people all the time. Everytime, I see a teen bopper out  and about, dressed like they are in job training for the world's oldest profession, I cringe and wonder, does your mom know how you are dressed? I judge my kids, I judge my husband, I judge our cats. "Good grief could they just be like everyone else on the planet and stop spilling their food all over the floor every time they eat?" (that statement could pretty much be directed at the 4 legged people or the two legged people in our family. I am not naming names, but you know who you are, "I am watching you!").

I found myself at a place, I have sworn off and have not been in along time because TFOLT had a great coupon to use there and to be a Barrett or Mackin everyone knows good coupons are never passed by. So there I sat sipping my ice cold water, when I gentleman sat down near us with his daughter. He was there for a job interview. I thought to myself, good grief, first off who does not know you do not bring your kid to a job interview? Or that you actually wear interview clothes not jeans and a t-shirt. As we sat there, I realized a couple of things, I am a jerk. He was obviously well spoken and had fallen on some really bad times. He had all the documentation to support what he was saying. You could tell he was very embarrassed by his situation but he was interviewing quite well despite what life had thrown at him in the last year. I hope, he gets the job and this is the break that he needs to give him and his daughter a leg up. Things were looking well for the man when we left. Huge kudos for the hiring manager, unlike me, she treated him with respect and dignity through the entire process.
