7 Quick Take Friday

I am joining Jen once again over conversion diary

1. We had a birthday girl this week. I was notified at 12:05 am on the day of her birthday that she did believe that she was a bit longer. The rate the last 6 years have flown by I 100% believe that statement.

2. I have come to realize in the last few weeks that everything as a child I rallied against has come back to me as adult to bite me in the behind. Fortunately for me, what use to upset me greatly as a child does not phase my children one bit. I was not and never will be a night owl. I hated it as a child when we did things late at night which was pretty much anytime my dad had a night off from work. Apparently, I have succeeded in raising night owls. Hence it did not ruffle anyone's feathers having a 6 year old birthday party at 10:30 pm at night. Well except mine. I kept on thinking bed sounded so good.

3. I guess, I should thank my lucky stars. Rarely, even when the kids were real little have we done an early morning to rise thing. I have always gotten up hours before my kids. On Christmas TFOLT and I always end up waking up the kids not the other way around. I know totally unnatural. But I do enjoy my coffee in relative peace and quiet the morning brings. It is nice to ease into the day.

4.I have said it for years and no one listened. It is kind of like talking to my kids. Since we see the sun so little when we do see it we should treat it as a state holiday. Finally someone took my advice. Bellingham Christian School closed for Sun. Why yes, you read that right, school was cancelled today so the students could enjoy the sun.

5. Of course today M&M asked if it was summer because it was as hot as it gets in the summer time. Yep, that about sums it up 68 degrees and my girl thinks we are experiencing a heatwave.

6. I realized that I have certainly have been far to busy this week. It seems like it is run here and there do this and that. I have not gotten enough quality time in reading. I have no idea what I have read this week. I do not think much. I must ramify this while I am outside partaking in the heatwave.  I need a book to sink my teeth into.

7. Finally, but not the least May is arthritis awareness month. Arthritis is not your grandma's disease. It effects 50,000 million people in this country and over 300,000 children. Please think about doing a walk in your area for the month of May
