7 Quick Takes Friday

  1. I am joining Jen again at conversion diary. I do not know if you you have been following what is happening in Jen's life, but it is pretty scary. I am sure she could use your prayers right now.
  2. The wind the glorious wind. I like the wind. I especially enjoy a good storm and being able to watch from the water edge. We are trying to decide what will be better to harness: the sun or the wind? I guess listening to the expert(s) the hardest part is the converter. When your 15 year old expert tells you should probably hire someone more experienced to install the converter, you should listen, maybe.
  3. Child(ren) who take the whole vacuuming thing seriously. It seems to me in this house that is every other child. It does my heart good to see or I should say hear a child hoovering for an hour. Having said that, I still have not backed down from my firm belief that carpet is evil. So gross all the gunk that is in it. It is practically an encyclopedia of your past life. Who needs home videos, just look at the carpet, it tells the tale of all in each little stain. Maybe my problem is I have only known cheap carpet.
  4. First Friday Mass: I adore first Friday Mass as it is a chance for us to catch up with our friends over lunch. It feels like such an indulgence getting to do such a thing during the week. Of course I would be a miss if I did not mention the whole Adoration thingy it has going on.
  5. I realized earlier this past week that I had not been to Starbucks in over 50 days. It sounds shocking even to me to say out loud. But alas it is true. Of course that does not mean my love affair with coffee is over.
  6. Speaking of love affair with coffee. How and the heck can I live in an area for 16 years and not know about Bargreens? It is not like this coffee roaster just sprung up overnight. It has been in Everett for over 100 years. Let me tell you, it is some mighty fine beans for under $7 a pound. How is that even possible?
  7. Lazy days! I always feel like I need to be more productive then most people because I have more to prove having psoriatic arthritis. I know it is silly, but what can I say, I am what I am. After feeling far more lazier then most days, I finally drug my sorry behind to the doctor. Lesson learned, not everything wrong in life is caused from psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis. So far I am really not enjoying the shingles. I have been wondering if there is a hidden message in this whole thing, why yes Heidi, you are old! I guess that is what I get for coveting for an old lady's folding cart
