7 Quick Takes

I am joining Jen again over at conversion diary for 7 quick take Friday. She could use some prayers. Her little guy is in NICU.

  1. Bonnie at a knotted life posted on Wed. the best Zombie movie ever. My family is huge zombie fans (why yes I did have to look up the proper use of a collective noun is it singular or plural). Anyway if you have 7 minutes to spare you are in for a treat.
  2. It has been along week full of kids who do not feel well. What could make the week better? Doctor Who marathon anyone? Have you not seen that episode four hundred million times? Maybe, but who cares it is fun.
  3. Does my heart proud watching my three youngest in the kitchen baking.
  4. Speaking of baking how come I am the last one on the planet to know about magic custard cake and how easy it is to bake? So easy that even M&M was able to do most of the baking.
  5. I wonder why it is when I get my camera out the boys always hide including Harry? Yet Ronnie and M&M are right their waiting for the camera to go click.
  6. Please do not under any circumstance try to argue with TFOLT about coffee. You might think since he rates coffee slightly lower then skimming pond scum off and drinking it that he knows nothing about beans. His wife has him trained well. So when he tell you he wants his beans in a vacuum sealed bag and not scooped try not to tell him it will last forever. Forever is a very long time and roasted beans exposed to air only last 7 days. He knows this as he has had to stand in that very line you were having the discussion in to return stale beans that were not in a vacuum sealed bag. TFOLT might even had to endure the daggers his wife was shooting at him for having the audacity of evening thinking of buying stale beans. As I have stated before TFOLT is married to a difficult wife who is subjected to wretched cups of coffee. Her life is too short. And do not under any circumstance offer to grind his beans. Ground beans have less then a 24 hour life who can drink a pound of coffee in 24 hours?
  7. I am pretty sure that Harry and Ronnie have been begging for one of these:

Why yes that is a Tardis cat house. Wouldn't that make our home complete?

PS: Just in case you are interested: Family being the collective noun is always singular in America so the correct verb use would be is. But in British English the collective noun is left up to the speaker/writer and more likely then not the are would be used.
